As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro is completely rebuilding the curb, gutter and sidewalk on Crenshaw Boulevard between 52nd and 54th streets beginning Monday, June 27, with work through Monday, July 18.
Work has been scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday for the next three weeks.
Once complete, the streetscape will include new median landscaping, trees, streetlights, traffic signals and a repaved roadway. The work will be conducted in phases.
This phase includes a three-week closure of the southbound frontage road to allow for removal and replacement of the curb and gutter. During this segment, the sidewalk will be closed except for a five foot section that will remain in place for pedestrian access.
The frontage road will be reopened to vehicular traffic and parking on Monday, July 18.
