Multi-cultural artists have donated their works of art create a 2011 calendar - and the proceeds will benefit the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.
Tania Maria Xavier of ColoredPeople.net and frequent Leimert Park Beat contributor organized this effort and culled the work from some of the put together a 2011 calendar of drawings, paintings, photography and poetry.
The contributors include Lamonte McLemore of the Fifth Dimension, artist Quwwa Davis and poet Joan Cartwright.
"The country and its residents need help now and will continue to need assistance for months and years to come," Tania Maria wrote. "With that in our hearts, we have purposed this calendar for Haiti Relief and 100% of proceeds from sales will be donated to help restore the country and aid the people of Haiti."
The calendars are $21 and would make a great holiday or New Year gift. Order here. I ordered mine today.
