Sweet Pototo Pie recipe at 27th Street Bakery on Crenshaw is 3 generations old

The sweet potato pie recipe at 27th Street Bakery in Leimert Park is made from a secret family recipe using yams from Louisiana, according to Chris Schauble of NBC Los Angeles. 

 

Owner of the 27th Street Bakery, Jeanette Bolden, said her grandparents opened the bakery in 1956.
