So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Marty and I was living in Silverlake for 13 years where my non rent control building sold and and my rent went from 1400.00 to 2875.00 heading towards 4000.00. I loved my community and am an advocate of promoting one. When I discovered Leimert Park I knew this was my new home and I was right. Not only is there charm but arriving on Father's Day 2018 until now the end of July I have had nothing but a lovely welcoming to the neighborhood. I already have new neighbor friends and we are a team already making Leimert Park and even better!
I'm a 50 year old hairdresser that has my own business for the past 14 years. I have lived in LA since 1991 and had one stint in North Hollywood, Studio City and West Hollywood. Most of my time in LA was in Silverlake until now. I'm thrilled to be starting a new chapter of my life in Leimert Park.
