So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Music and reconnecting with the hood. In the late 70s I was LAPD in the Jungle. That's long gone but it's where I learned to dance. Became a whistleblower re: CIA and drugs, then an author and invest journalist. Once had a column in High Times. South Central will remember me from Locke High School in 1996 with the CIA Director. Yeah.. that was me. -- Now, for me it's all about music, dancing, hanging with friends and making love. What else matters?

Music was always my first love. I sing and am writing several new songs, recording a little; producing a teeny bit and slowly shopping round for a band. As the pic shows, I've found the guitar player. If only James Jameson were still alive. I miss Motown.
