Something W/ Soul is the BrainChild collective created & led by drummer; artist, composer, & educator Malachi Whitson. This fairly recent ensemble offers a hybrid sound that combines a multitude of genres w/ its primary influences being Jazz, funk & rock. The quintet consisting of drums (Malachi Whitson), bass (Marlon Spencer), saxophone (David Michael Otis), guitar (Spencer Geer), & Voice (Mikaela Elson) communicates songs of peace, adversity, & the trials of growing & living in this world for various walks of life.
