Final call to submit written comments to MTA's Crenshaw Line study to run a light rail down Crenshaw Blvd.

1) EMAIL your comments by 5 PM to diazroderick@metro.net AND crenshaw@fixexpo.org

2) FAX the Crenshaw Comment Forms by 4 PM to 323-761-6435.

"It is important that we remain AHEAD of MTA's Crenshaw Line planning process, so we don't have to fight from behind like we are currently on the Expo Line at Dorsey HS and Foshay Learning Center," said Damien Goodmon of FixExpo.org.

MTA is planning and has funded a rail line to run down Crenshaw Blvd to the abandoned track that runs parallel to Florence en route to LAX.

Damien wants to keep the entire Crenshaw Blvd portion of the Crenshaw Line underground - sounds like a good idea.

His example email:

Dear MTA Board of Directors:

Please keep the Crenshaw Line underground on Crenshaw Blvd for the safety of the children at Crenshaw High School and View Park Prep. Also traffic already backs up in both directions on Slauson. Don't make a bad situation worse. Treat us the same as you intend to treat the Wilshire community.

Sincerely,
