Event Description

Dear Community Member,

We cordially invite you to attend the first annual Westport Jazz Festival, held on March 5th, 2011 at the Grand Ball Room of the Proud Bird Restaurant on 11022 Aviation Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.  The doors will open at 3:00 p.m.

The Westport Jazz Festival is a fundraiser for Westport Heights Elementary School, sponsored by the WHES Booster Club in collaboration with the LMU Family of Schools. Westport Heights Elementary School is a multicultural school that is dedicated to enrichment through the arts. Proceeds from the festival will support the artistic, athletic, and academic programs of the school.

Gifted artists such as Dwight Trible, Om'Mas Keith of Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Erik Rico, Henry Franklin, Rembert James and Preston Glass with Impromp2 have donated their talents to make the Westport Jazz Festival a cultural and financial success. Our masters of ceremonies are actors Giovonnie Samuels and Nate Parker.

You can support this event as a sponsor and/or by attending our festival. Sponsorships and tickets are available through the WHES Booster Club website:

www.whesboosterclub.org/jazzfestival

Further information can be found on

We thank you in advance for your support, and look forward to seeing you at the festival!

Sincerely,
