LA Commons introduces our Trekking LA program, returning for the sixth season in 2012. Our Trekking LA tours are led by our Neighborhood Docents, an amazing cadre of local leaders and guides who provide ongoing opportunities for exploring Los Angeles' most interesting neighborhoods, using their knowledge to introduce tour-goers to the hidden gems lurking around every street corner. 

Linda Morgan’s first summer tour will explore the rich cultural history of Leimert Park. This walking tour will introduce tour-goers to the past, present and future visions of the community, and will end at the monthly Leimert Park ArtWalk celebration. This tour is also at the same time as the Day of the Ancestors: Festival of Masks; come for the festival, stay for the tour! 

This tour will begin and end at Kaos Network, located at 4343 Leimert Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90008. Metered and street parking is available long Leimert Blvd, Degnan Blvd, 43rd Place and other surrounding streets. There is also a parking lot available on 43rd St and Degnan Blvd, which costs $2.50 for all day parking. For this tour, bring comfortable walking shoes, water and spending money. This is an easy walking tour with a distance of approximately 0.4 miles.
