Event Description
Join CAAM during Target Sundays as they screen the classic musical, “The Wiz.” Starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor, Lena Horne, and Nipsey Russell, “The Wiz” combines the rhythms of Motown with L. Frank Baum’s classic 20th century fairytale, with Ross starring as Dorothy Gale, a 24-year-old Harlem schoolteacher who has never been south of 125th street.
“The Wiz” will start at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of CAAM, so be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair. This is a free event. CAAM is located at 600 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA 90037. Parking is $10 at 39th and Figueroa.
