YOUNG VOICES AT CAAM: HIGH SCHOOL SYMPOSIUM
With a grant awarded by the Clara Elizabeth Jackson Carter Foundation, The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the National Endowment for the Humanities, CAAM presents the documentary film, Freedom Rides, the second of three films under the umbrella of Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle. After each screening, assembled high school students will be immersed in dialogue with Los Angeles-based Freedom Riders who were on the front lines of this important and effective movement. The final film, The Loving Story, will screen in May 2014. CAAM is located at 600 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA 90037. For more information visit www.caamuseum.org
