Forgiveness is the mental, and/or spiritual process of ceasing to feel resentment,
indignation or anger against another person for a perceived offence.
"Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."
The foundation of forgiveness is unconditional love.... We believe that families, communities and society can be strengthened using a most lethal weapon: Love. To this end we encourage you to join Strike the Rock Foundation for Women and Children for A Day of Forgiveness on December 31, 2013. The purpose of this day is to challenge individuals to put all their hurts and disappointment behind them and start the New Year with forgiveness in your lives. Prepare yourself for this day now - join us by forgiving others and yourself.
Who will you forgive? We realize it takes courage to forgive. We encourage you to start a dialogue with your family, neighbours, churches, schools, community organizations and co-workers about what forgiveness means to them; how it functions in their lives and the value that it brings or can bring to their future. We can also discuss how forgiveness has affected us personally and as a community.
