Event Description

Join the California African American Museum (CAAM) for a special program leading up to Expo Park’s Firework Extravaganza.  Co-hosted by comedian D'Lai and actor Jeffrey Anderson-Gunter, enjoy performances by singer Ashley Chanel, ventriloquist Aaron Williams and his sidekick Freddie, spoken word artist Wilson Sandoval, Toni Malone, the Lady of Song and musician Cliff Beach.  Remember it's all FREE! Bring your blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the festivities and Firework Extravaganza. CAAM’s galleries will be open for the holiday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Starting at noon, local artist and educator, Teresa Toliver, will conduct an art workshop. The Special Evening Program with live performances starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk. CAAM is located at 600 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA 90037.  For more information visit www.caamuseum.org. Guests are encouraged to RSVP by calling (213) 744-2024. Parking is $10 per vehicle and available on 39th and Figueroa streets.
