"Brief Encounters" is a concert of original stories about people Barbara H. Clark encountered during her years as librarian and administrator with Los Angeles Public Library. The stories give voice to a diverse array of people, who are not caricatures but complex personalities. They are sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always uplifting, and show that humanity is the same in all of us without regard to differences of age, gender, ethnicity or national origin, and that all human beings have value. Barbara’s many awards include KCET-TV’s "Unsung Hero of the Year Award".
