BLACK MALE FILM FESTIVAL - FAMLI (Foundation for Arts, Mentoring, Leadership and Innovation) is sponsoring a three-day film festival under the theme of “Black Males: An American Dilemma.  The ‘I’ve Known Rivers’ film festival will take place Nov. 8–10, at KRST Unity Center of Afrakan Spiritual Science located at 7825 S. Western Ave., in Los Angeles. More than 20 dynamic films will be screened, including The Scottsboro Boys: An American Tragedy, Emmitt Till: Murder in Mississippi, Negros with Guns: the Heroic story of Robert Williams, Unforgivable Blackness: the Rise & Fall of Jack Johnson, and Daddy Hunger.  Donations can be per film, or all-day passes are available.  A dynamic panel discussion and a live Soul/Funk concert are scheduled for the final day.
