Award-winning composer/flutist/conductor James Newton, a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Ethnomusicology, is celebrating his 65th birthday with an inspirational tribute concert featuring a handful of his more than 300 compositions.
Hello Everyone, I am sending out an invite for my 65th birthday concert on April 22, at 6:00 p.m. at UCLA, Schoenberg Hall. The concert is free Anthony Parnther, just coming back from a triumphant European tour with the Chineke Orchestra will conduct the Southeast Symphony. Featured performers are pianist Gloria Cheng, soprano Holly Sedillos, hornist Dylan Skye Hart, and the Lyris Quartet with bassist, Eric Shetzen. Here's the link:
