Jazz vocalist Kurt Reichenbach is the son of Bossa Nova pioneering drummer Bill Reichenbach, Sr. and brother of internationally renowned trombonist Bill Reichenbach. With his sly interpretations of the Great American Songbook, Reichenbach has earned recognition as a formidable talent by numerous critics, such as Rex Reed: "... a dazzling new singer... I have not been broadsided by a voice this way in many years... words fail to adequately describe the thrill of hearing someone with this much talent and class." So “broadsided” was Reed, if fact, that he cast Kurt in his popular 2009 musical production, Ira Without George. Kurt's performing has taken him on recent tours of Japan, as well as multiple cities here in the U.S. At the present time, Kurt is preparing to record a 50th anniversary CD/DVD tribute to the legendary Stan Getz/Charlie Byrd/Jazz Samba album.
“My favorite music is Christmas music,” says Kurt, "so I really look forward to my annual Christmas show. If you want to start the Holiday off with a fun, swinging take on your seasonal favorites, this is the show!" Joining Reichenbach onstage will be: Jim Cox – piano; Jeff D’Angelo – bass; Ralph Penland – drums;
plus special guest, Kurt’s brother Bill Reichenbach - bass trombone.

A few words about Kurt:
“...a dazzling new singer....Words fail to adequately describe the thrill of hearing someone with this much talent and class.” ―Rex Reed
“ ... a jazz singer out of the Mel Torme-Billy Stritch school of polished pop-jazz crooning...” —Stephen Holden, The New York Times
“ ... He loves the classic tunes and adds a reverence to all he sings... Kurt Reichenbach is not a big belter... His voice and style are far more personal... He is an ‘emotional’ singer who has a lot to offer his audience...” —Myrna Daniels, L.A. Jazz Scene
“ ... a natural swinger who understands lyrics, is blessed with a smooth baritone voice, and has the musical sensitivity to find approaches to each song that make his versions of even the most frequently performed standards sound fresh...” —Joe Lang, Jersey Jazz Magazine
“His...voice harkened back to the days of Sinatra [and] Bennett...a deeply compassionate, never faltering sense of sincerity and unaffected feel in his delivery.”
—Carol Banks Weber, Jazz Music Examiner
