For those interested in bidding for a contract or contracts for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project now under construction, Walsh/Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) is inviting the public and businesses to participate in the third annual Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Outreach event Tuesday, May 19 at Inglewood City Hall, One Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
WSCC will provide an update on upcoming bid opportunities for disadvantaged businesses that want to pursue a contract for the electrical and station work soon to begin on the new Metro light-rail line now under construction. There also will be breakout sessions to discuss the electrical and station work.
The line will have eight new stations: three of them underground, one aerial and four at street level (on-grade).
The 8.5-mile Crenshaw/LAX light-rail line will connect the Metro Expo and Green lines and run through the communities of Crenshaw, Inglewood and LAX. The line is expected to be completed in 2019.
To make a reservation contact Bertina Green from the Walsh Group at (310) 431-3973 or e-mail begreen@walshgroup.com.
