Metro’s contractor for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractor (WSCC), will implement a full street closure at Rodeo Road and Crenshaw Boulevard for 14 consecutive days beginning Friday, Oct. 3, to finish construction of the wall perimeter for the future underground Crenshaw/Expo light rail station.
Continuing work has been schedule around the clock from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 17.
During this time north and south bound traffic traveling on Crenshaw Boulevard will be maintained. However, west and east bound traffic on Rodeo Road will be diverted.
Detours during the 14-day closure will be as follows: Eastbound: If traveling eastbound on Rodeo Road, turn right at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, left at Western Avenue, and right at Exposition Boulevard. Westbound: If traveling westbound on Rodeo Road, turn right at Western Avenue, turn left at Jefferson Boulevard, turn left at La Brea Avenue, and then right at Rodeo Road. The installation of steel soldier piles and cutting soil mix walls is necessary for the construction of the perimeter walls on the west and east side of Rodeo Road at Crenshaw Boulevard. These two walls are the last to be built in order to begin excavating the underground station set to begin in November.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, as well as access to businesses in the area.
Noise from construction activities will be monitored 24-hour a day. For information on bus stops changes, please visit metro.net/service/advisories/
The 8.5-mile Crenshaw/LAX Line is a $2.058 billion light-rail line that will connect the Green Line and the Expo Line. It will have eight new stations. The Crenshaw/LAX Line is expected to open in 2019.

Thank you. Do you know who do we talk to to request traffic guards in Expo and Western intersection. That area is already congested.
