Work on three of the future underground Crenshaw/LAX light rail stations will shut down Crenshaw Boulevard at three different locations this weekend beginning Friday night until Monday morning. The closures are needed to reconfigure traffic lanes at Crenshaw/Vernon and Crenshaw/MLK stations and on Crenshaw/Expo, Metro and Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractors (WSCC) will begin pile installation on the south wall.
Here are the closure schedule and boundaries, detour maps (see below) and press releases for each station.
• Crenshaw/Vernon Station: 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. Full street closure between Stocker Street to Vernon Avenue to implement new traffic reconfiguration and begin pile installation on west side of Crenshaw Boulevard. Press Release: http://bit.ly/1lYrMLK
