Taylor Griffin Galloway had just arrived at school when she was struck by her own mother vehicle. It happened around 7:40am Thursday on Farmdale Ave. According to police, Talyor got out of her mother's car and then stepped in front of the vehicle as she prepared to cross the street, at the same time, her mother was looking over her shoulder at on coming traffic and pulled forward, hitting Taylor. The teenage was taken to the hospital where she died of her injuries. School officials say Talyor was a remarkable student and had just been awarded a $30,000 scholarship to Howard University.
