SONGTRESSES TERRY DEXTER, TREASURE DAVIS AND ANTONIQUE SMITH TO BE FEATURED AT TARGET SUNDAYS AT CAAM

R&B Singer and Songwriter Treasure Davis

The California African American Museum (CAAM) presents its Target Sundays program, Cool Your Heels in the Shade – CAAM’s Annual Summer Party on Sunday, August 3, from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m.  Co-hosted by actress and television personality Kiki Shepard, CAAM’s outdoor plaza will provide the perfect shade under its canopy where guests can enjoy a terrific line-up of performances.

As if the summer couldn’t get any hotter, the Target Sundays at CAAM line-up of performers are sure to sizzle the stage.   Performing will be R&B singer, songwriter Treasure Davis, who is described as a modern day mix of Aubrey Hepburn and Lucille Ball for her quirky personality. Signed to Bystorm/RCA, the singer/songwriter has sung background for artists such as Nicki Minaj, Kelly Price, Keysha Cole and Keri Hilson. 

Another amazing performer set the take the CAAM stage will be singer, songwriter and actor Terry Dexter. Her amazing vocals have been featured on numerous soundtracks and TV shows such as “Rush Hour,” “Legally Blond,” “Kings and Queens,” among many others.  Also set to perform will be singer, songwriter, producer and actor, Malachi Cohen, who was recently nominated by the L.A. Music Awards as Best Male Pop Artist; singer Antonique Smith, who is best known for her role as Faith Evans in the film “Notorious”; youthful singer Aliyah Moulden; and spoken word artist Sean Hill.

Educator and artist Teresa Tolliver will host an art workshop open to all ages, starting at noon. Art materials will be supplied by CAAM. Events at CAAM are free and open to the public.
