THE GOAL:  Make Leimert Park Village the "one stop" for all Green news, products, education, etc. for Los Angeles.   There isn't one yet and create a self sustaining village than can also be a base for Emergency Response in times of need.

THE MODEL:  Oakland, CA  Green Organizations and Neighborhood improvement making it the Greenest inner city place  in U.S.

WHAT WE HAVE;  Free Green Courses on all subjects 3 days a week (and Childrens Afterschool classes), 6000watts of Solar Generator and more to power our events, etc., Well known Green Products including Electric Motorcycles for display in Village shops, Celebrities willing to do free PSA's starting next week about the village "Greening", High Profile Events we are performing at and solar powering, Expertise and some materials to start solar and wind powering our shops, some materials to create more cottage industry for unemployed and a GROWING NUMBER OF INCREDIBLE LEIMERT PEOPLE getting together to create a truly sustainable neighborhood.

SUBJECTS THAT CREATE SUSTAINABLE VILLAGES and What we can offer in Education now:

Solar, Wind, Waste Management, Aquaponics & Hydroponics (growing with water not soil), Bio Fuels (homemade), Soil Remediation, Green Media (Solar powered filmaking, audio, etc.). Compost Toilets

We are looking for volunteers, an electrician to help make more generators (as job), 1 more staff member

Also, if you have any experience in Green Technology or Organic Growing let us know ASAP!
