L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan, will host a healthcare enrollment fair at Faithful Central Bible Church on March 22, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Los Angeles County residents will have the opportunity to enroll in L.A. Care Coveredä, the organization’s Covered California qualified health insurance plan for Los Angeles County. This event is free to attend and open to those seeking to enroll in health care insurance before the second enrollment deadline, March 31.

California residents who wish to enroll in L.A. Care Covered after the March 31 deadline will have to wait until October 15 to enroll. The enrollment fair will feature the L.A. Care Covered Healthy Pavilion, where certified enrollment counselors will be on-site for free one-on-one assistance to help community members explore new health insurance options. L.A. Care Covered currently provides quality health care to more than one million residents in Los Angeles County.

In order to enroll, individuals must bring their social security number, last income tax return and proof of citizenship or legal residency information. In addition to enrolling, attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy free, fun-filled activities such as face painting, balloon twisting and an art workshop for all ages hosted by local educator and artist Teresa Tolliver. 

Faithful Central Bible Church is located at 321 N. Eucalyptus Ave in Inglewood, Calif.
