Angelus Plaza Presents: Free Concert - The Gospel Creators "African American Celebration"

On Friday, February 24th at 2:00 PM
Angelus Plaza, located at 255 South Hill Street in Downtown L.A. will host its annual African America in Heritage Celebration. The festive event is set for the Fourth Floor Auditorium and will showcase historical posters, displays
and authentic artifacts.
The Gospel Creators, a rousing six-piece band, under the direction of drummer Jarrell Ballard,
will headline the show. Formed in 1969, this critcally-acclaimed ensemble has toured the South
extensively, performing at concerts and several prominent churches. The Gospel Creators have
shared the stage with The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Five Blind Boys, The Clara Ward Singers and
The Hummingbirds. Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted.
