I have been a resident of the Crenshaw Community since 1960...wow!!! Taught English at Jefferson High, Crenshaw High, and CSULA.Former Ex. Dir. of The Black Education Commision/LAUSD......A.P. at Markham Middle School and LeConte Middle School, just in case someone out there remembers me.

THE DISAPPEARING MAILBOXES

Don't be shocked as I was when you drive to the rear of the post office on Crenshaw across from Albertson and discover that ALL OF THE MAILBOXES have been REMOVED. WHAT THE......??? None in the front.......none down the block or on surrounding corners that I could find. How arrogant is that to remove critical services from the community without widespread media or mailed warnings. I am checking corners where mailboxes used to be to determine the extent of the removals. DO THE SAME AND SHARE…

BALDWIN HILLS RAVE CINEMA

Just sending a "RAVE" to the Rave Cinema chain for bringing a first class movie experience to Baldwin Hills. My wife and I are Seniors and we go regularly to the matinees at $4.50....can't beat that with a stick as the ol' folks used to say.:-) I don't know about the evening and nightime crowds, but we have had absolutely no problems with noise or rowdiness during the movies we watched. I appreciate the pricing for students as well as for us seniors. Any other OPINIONS OUT THERE??? Let me…
