Profile Information

So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I have been a community activist for more than 20 years, which is my passion. My current projects are to raise public awareness about the ongoing genocide in Darfur and to assist in mobilizing a unified response by the United Nations to address the atrocities that threaten the lives of African people throughout the Darfur region. In addition, I mentor seven youth in our community. I love them dearly and hope to inspire them to strive towards a college education. My present goal is to find a way to open a community center for our youth.
