I'm a City Planner and I live in the Crenshaw District. I am involved with Transit Oriented Development around the proposed light rail transit stations.
Who referred you?

Good times at:
The AFIBA Center on Friday nights at 7 PM at the Talking Drum Community Forum 5730 Crenshaw). Also, the World Stage and Maverick's Flat on any night of the week. I also attend all of the events and festivals at Leimert Park Village. Lucy Florences use to be a good hang out spot. The Regency West is also good.

My Leimert Park Secret:
I wish the Farmer's Market hadn't moved away to the Crenshaw-Baldwin Hills Plaza on Saturdays. I use to shop at Leimert Park businesses more when the Market was there. Also, I want the community to get rid of Botach Tactical (an ammunition sales outlet), who owns the former gun shop, Total Experience Night Club, and Eso Won Book Store. They are an absolute disgrace.
