The Slauson Corridor Revitalization Project is an effort to realize a new, community- driven vision for the area on Slauson between La Brea and Angelus Vista.  Spearheaded by the Office of Supervisory Mark Ridley-Thomas, the goal of the project is to enhance local quality of life by making the area safer for pedestrians and creating a community gathering place that provides needed and wanted services.  Streetscape improvements are already in the works and the firm Sussman Prezja has been engaged to design a brand identity.  As part of this process, we are implementing a series of interactive, creative, community engagement events to get the views of locals on the appropriate “look” and name for the corridor.  The third event in the series is called “Slauson Holiday Stroll” and will take place on December 15.

Join friends and neighbors, old and new, for a festive afternoon on the avenue. Enjoy live holiday music, tasty treats and special surprises! While you are at it, get your holiday shopping done at the unique shops on the corridor. And, as you mingle, provide your ideas for the brand identity design concept.

Families are welcome.

This activity is the third in a series of creative events being facilitated in partnership with the Slauson Avenue Branding Taskforce to re-envision the corridor. This event is a project of the L.A. County Arts Commission Civic Art Program in collaboration with the Office of Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.
