Event Description

Join, West Angeles Youth Adult Ministry (YAM) and Britticares International, for the Power of Love Blood Drive.  Britticares International is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit, whose mission is “helping children survive cancer one smile at a time.” They have teamed up with West Angeles C.O.G.I.C to help the community recognize the need and joy in giving blood. The need for blood in the African American community is substantial.  According the American Red Cross, 51 percent of African Americans have type-o blood types, which is the most requested blood type from hospitals.  The American Red Cross also reports that type O-negative blood (red cells) can be transfused to patients of all blood types.  Please join YAM and Britticares as they give the Power of Life.  Free and open to the public, located at 3010 Crenshaw Blvd. Los Angeles, Ca 90016 To Register or for more information contact: yam@westa.org, (323)733-8300 x2614
