Event Description
The Los Angeles Department of City Planning invites the public to attend an Open House and Public Hearing for the West Adams - Baldwin Hills - Leimert (West Adams) Community Plan. The existing West Adams Community Plan was adopted in 1998 and is being updated to reflect both current and emerging community issues as related to land use. The proposed plan will guide long range planning and land use policies that can help make West Adams, Baldwin Hills, and Leimert Park more sustainable, livable neighborhoods.
At the Open House, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Planning Department staff will be available to answer your questions. Additionally, handouts, policy documents and maps will be presented. Beginning at 7:00 pm, a Public Hearing will be conducted by a Hearing Officer, who will consider all public testimony and any written communication received. The testimony and the merits of the proposed changes as they relate to existing land use policy and regulations will be considered by the City Planning Commission at a future date.
