Event Description

The Korean Cultural Center LA, Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Consulate General of the Republic of Korea are proud to present “Korean Music Concert: Past, Present & Future" at the Colburn School’s Zipper Hall on January 11, 2013 at 7:30pm. The ALL AGES show will take audiences into a musical journey with the critically acclaimed Women’s Korean Chamber Music Ensemble “DASRUM” at the helm. The ALL FEMALE ensemble will demonstrate the accolades they have received for their awe-inspiring performances of traditional Korean music and their unique interpretation of music from around the world are warranted when they make their way to Los Angeles. This highly-anticipated show is FREE, but attendees must have a ticket, which are available at the Korean Cultural Center, LA. The concert is generously sponsored by Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, LA.

Audiences can expect elaborate, emotionally charged performances with a peaceful, feminine touch. DASRUM’s music aims to take the original aesthetics of traditional Korean music as a point of departure leading to a refined modern sensibility through their interpretation of modern music from various countries.
