Event Description

Hey Los Angeles, Celebrate 150 years of Freedom at the Juneteenth Heritage Festival in Leimert Park, this Saturday and Sunday. Our theme this year is "Faith, Family and the Global Future."  Jim Neusom brings his Urban Tech Faire in this year to help you  build an app for your digital device, take to the skies in a flight simulator, courtesy of Robin Petgrave and Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum.  Champion Cowboy Lester Sims returns to the grassy park on Saturday so bring the kids for a pony ride, ropin demos and more fun.

June is Black Music Month, and we will have DJ's from Weshine Music for ya!  Come on out and help us  rock the  Soul Train line as we shut it down on Sunday like we did last year.  There will be fun for all ages.  Shopping for June grads, brides and Dads.  World class arts and craft vendors, designer fashions, good food, with live entertainment, and good old fashioned fun.  The whole family will have a ball in Leimert Park Village June 15 & 16. 10am to 6pm each day.  Come enjoy two days of family fun for all ages that’s free and open to the public. 4300 Degnan Blvd and in the park at the corner of Vernon and Crenshaw in Los Angeles. Vendor spaces available and sponsors are always welcome so call or click.   Call 323.291-2024 for more information or visit.  www.blackartslosangeles.org.  Like us on Facebook - Juneteenth in Leimert Park

I will be there on Sunday at 2 p.m. as I've been asked to be a Peace Ambassador and participate in the dedication of the Peace Pole. Good times await! Here's the video I made after last year's Juneteenth.
